Information, not legal advice

flighthelp explains passenger-rights rules and computes likely entitlements from the facts you enter. It is information, not legal advice, and it is not a claims service. Results depend on the accuracy of what you enter and on how courts apply the law to your case. For high-value or complex claims, consult a lawyer or your national enforcement body.

Open data and code

The dataset is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). The rules engine is MIT-licensed and the API and website are AGPL-3.0. Attribute data you reuse to “flighthelp”.

Using the API

  • The API is free to use within the rate limits of your tier, described on the developer page.
  • Keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for requests made with them; revoke a leaked key at once.
  • Do not try to get around rate limits, for example by creating many accounts or keys, and do not use the API to disrupt the service for others.
  • Do not present flighthelp data in a way that suggests it is legal advice or that flighthelp endorses your product.
  • We may suspend keys or accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but the free tiers come without a service-level agreement. Commercial agreements can include one.

Your account

Give accurate information when you apply for a tier. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, flighthelp is not liable for losses resulting from reliance on the information or the API. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
